Opening Speaker: Lianne Laing

Lianne is a veteran television broadcaster who decided after 20 years in the business, that it was time to trade in the 3-30 am alarm clock for a little more adventure and sleep.  A storyteller first, this mom of two continues to be an advocate for health and wellness. Her podcast “Living Your Life w Lianne Laing” is aimed to educate, entertain and inspire her listeners to make informed choices to live longer, healthier and more fulfilled lives.

In fact, one of the main reasons Lianne is so passionate about this -  is that it hits really close to home. Lianne lost her father Jeffrey to a heart attack at the age of 57 just two weeks before her wedding. Shock, grief, anger, and blame all became her new reality during what was meant to be a joyous time. Through writing and letters to her dad, she found some comfort and while she strives to keep the memories alive she also aims to keep questions like “what if’ at bay. When Lianne isn’t recording her podcast she also does media consulting, speaks and write.
